Haworthia marumiana is a species of the genus Haworthia in the subfamily of the Affodilla family (Asphodeloideae).

description

Haworthia marumiana grows without a trunk and sprouts strongly. The upright, inwardly curved leaves form a rosette with a diameter of up to 7 centimeters. The purple-green, opaque leaf blade is more or less soft. The leaf surface is patterned like a network. The leaf edge and the leaf quill are covered with thorns .

The inflorescence reaches a length of up to 20 centimeters. The rather small flowers are white.

Systematics and distribution

Haworthia marumiana is common in the South African provinces of the Western Cape and Eastern Cape .

The first description by Antonius Josephus Adrianus Uitewaal was published in 1940.

A nomenclatory synonym is Haworthia arachnoidea var. Marumiana (Uitewaal) Halda (1997).

A distinction is made between the following varieties :
