Hayato Hirose

Hayato Hirose ( Japanese 広 瀬 勇 人 , Hirose Hayato ; * 1974 in Tokyo ) is a Japanese composer and conductor in the field of brass music .

Hirose has received numerous honors and awards since he began composing at the age of twenty. These include the competition for young composers of the International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM), Japanese department, the Tokyo International Chamber Music Composition Competition and the competition "KYOEN - The Prosperous Future for Band into the 21st Century". He has also received orders from various countries including Japan , the United States , Canada , Germany , France and the Netherlands .

In addition to his career as a composer, Hayato Hirose conducted the premieres of many new compositions. He was also vice conductor with the Greater Marlborough Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Conservatory Repertoire Orchestra, and musical director of Chorus Boston (an international mixed choir). Hirose completed his graduate studies at the Boston Conservatory and his professional studies at the Tokyo Conservatoire Shobi. He is currently studying at the Lemmens Institute in Belgium with the composer Jan Van der Roost . Other composition teachers include Andy Vores , John Clement Adams and Yoriaki Matsudaira . He studied conducting a. a. with Peter Cokkinias and Horn with Hiroshi Yamagishi . He is also a member of the National Society for Composers of the USA (NACUSA).
