Haydée Padilla (born November 15, 1936 in Buenos Aires , Argentina ) is an Argentine actress .

Life

As a child, she wanted to be a ballet dancer, but her parents refused. Padilla began her theater career in the 1960s and 1970s. She gained greater fame through her television role as “Chona” in the program “Almorfando con La Chona”.

In March 2014, Padilla admitted in a live TV interview that she had raised a child illegally. In 1975 she was offered it and registered it as a child of her own. The organization Abuelas des Plaza de Mayo asked for clarification as to whether this was the child of parents who disappeared during the military dictatorship . The adopted daughter lives in Mar del Plata and has two children of her own. During the Podestá Awards 2016, the actress was honored for 50 years of union membership.
