Imani Williams

Imani Williams (born December 10, 1999 ) is a British singer and songwriter.

Career

She started dancing at the age of 8 and songwriting two years later. She attended the BRIT School in London .

Williams' dance teacher introduced her to music managers and when she was 15 she signed a recording deal. She initially had a featuring in Sigala's tropical house song Say You Do , which came out on March 18, 2016. It reached the top position in the UK Dance Charts and reached 5th place in the UK Singles Charts. Williams was involved in the songwriting, sings the song and is the focus of the music video that was recorded in Jamaica . She later went on tour with Sigala.

On July 1, 2016, Williams' debut single Don't Need No Money was released by Sony Music Entertainment . The song features Sigala and the house duo Blonde . Among other things, it reached number 67 in the UK charts.

Williams had another tropical house vocal part in 2017 in Mike Perry's song Body To Body . The single achieved gold status in Perry's home country Sweden.

On August 17, 2018, Sony released a second single from Williams under the title Dumb , with features by Tiggs Da Author and Belly Squad. This is a sampling of The 411 song of the same name from 2003, which is about the best way to leave guys. Musically, the song deviates from her previous style and, according to her own statements, goes in a direction that suits her personally.
