Hayrettin Aydın
Hayrettin Aydın (* 1961 ) is a German historian , Turkologist and author of specialist books .
Life
Aydın studied history and Turkish studies at the University of Hamburg; here and at the University of Kiel he also took up teaching activities. From 1996 to 2004, after participating in intercultural research projects, he was a research assistant at the Center for Turkish Studies in Essen , most recently as head of migration research. After he was the managing director of the Muslim Academy in Germany between 2006 and 2007 , he is now a consultant for the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of the Interior.
Aydın is the author of publications on German-Turkish topics in German, English and Turkish.
