Hazel Brooks
Hazel Brooks (born September 8, 1924 in Cape Town , South African Union , † September 18, 2002 in Bel Air , California ) was an American actress .
Life
At the age of 18 she was signed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and made her film debut in 1943 with Du Barry Was a Lady . Her greatest success was in 1947 alongside Lilli Palmer in Hunt for Millions and in 1948 alongside John Garfield as the unscrupulous Daphne in snares . She ended her film career in 1953 and appeared in front of the camera only two years later as a guest star on the Loretta Young Show .
Hazel Brooks was married to production designer Cedric Gibbons from 1944 until his death in 1960 . She later married the doctor Dr. Rex Ross and stayed with him until his death in 1999.
Hazel Brooks died at her home in Bel Air after a long illness.
