Heavenly is a French power metal band.

history

Heavenly was originally founded as a cover band under the name Satan's Lawyer in 1994 in Paris by Ben Sotto and Max Pilo . Together with the guitarist Anthony Parker they produced a demo with three tracks, with which they got a record deal with Noise Records . Since Parker had left shortly before, Chris Savourey came as a replacement in the band. Laurent Jean took over the vacant position on bass.

In May 2000 Heavenly released their debut album Coming From the Sky , on which Kai Hansen from Gamma Ray and Piet Sielk from Iron Savior also appeared as guest singers. In November of that year they toured France with Symphony X and performed at the Hard Rock Magazine festival. With Frederic Leclercq a keyboardist was added as a further member and since Laurent Jean had left the band, he was replaced by Piere-Emmanuel Pelisson. In this line-up, they accompanied Stratovarius in December 2000 on their Infinite tour as the opening act. After Chris Savorey also left, Leclerq took over the position of guitarist.

In 2001 the second album Sign Of The Winner was released , which they advertised on a tour as the opening act for Edguy . Charley Corbiaux was the second guitarist during this tour and was then accepted as a permanent member.

After performing at Wacken Open Air in 2002, the recordings began for their third album Dust to Dust , which was released in early 2004. In 2006 they released their fourth album Virus . On July 7th, 2007 Heavenly appeared as the opener at the first Magic Circle Festival in Bad Arolsen . A part of this performance can be seen on the DVD Magic Circle Festival - Volume 1 . In 2009 the fifth studio album Carpe Diem followed .
