Hedwig Meyer
Alwina Clara Hedwig Meyer ( October 7, 1841 in Leipzig - after 1916) was a German theater actress .
Life
Meyer was trained by Minona Frieb-Blumauer . She then worked as a young lover at the Thaliatheater in Hamburg for three years before moving to the Wallnertheater in Vienna . She worked on several Berlin theaters and in 1890 got an engagement at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin, where she stayed until 1894 and mainly played salon ladies . After various engagements at larger theaters in Northern Germany, she retired from the stage in 1897. Then she lived married in Berlin.
Her siblings were the actors Clara Meyer and Adolf Meyer .
