The Hedwigskirche ( Polish św Kościół. Jadwigi Śląskiej na Zadnim Groniu w Wiśle-Czarnem ) in Wisła , Poland is a Catholic evangelische Castle Church near the President lock on the eastern side of Zadni Groń in the Silesian Beskid above the western shore of the dam Jezioro Czerniańskie . It is consecrated to Hedwig of Silesia . It has served as the palace church of the presidential palace since the 1930s.

history

The church was donated by Friedrich Habsburg in 1909 . The interior decoration dates from the early Baroque and was brought from other churches or was donated by the Polish presidents and their wives, including Aleksander Kwaśniewski , Jolanta Kwaśniewska , Maria Kaczyńska and Andrzej Duda .

Church services

The church is open to tourists and believers. Protestant and Catholic church services take place regularly, as well as ecumenical masses on special occasions - such as the memorial service after the plane crash near Smolensk .
