Motorsport

Heico Sportiv has his roots in the Wiesbaden racing team HEICO Motorsport and the Volvo dealership Hedtke in Weiterstadt. In 1995, Volvo Germany commissioned Heico with the development, construction and use of the Volvo 850 T5 for the 24-hour race on the Nürburgring, which it operated until 1997. After the end of the official involvement of Volvo Germany, Heico Sportiv has been running the motorsport program on his own since 1998 and starts as part of the 24-hour race and the endurance championship ( VLN ) on the Nürburgring -Nordschleife. Initially, the Volvo S40 (type 644) was used in different versions, in 2006 the successor model "HEICO HS4 ODIN" (type 544) won the "SP4T" class at the Nürburgring 24h race straight away. In 2007 Heico Sportiv started with bioethanol for the first time under the slogan "Green Racing" . In 2008 the hatchback Volvo C30 made its debut. In 2010, Heico Sportiv and the drivers Ulli Andree, Patrick Brenndörfer, Frank Eickholt and Martin Müller were the first team to achieve class victory in the 24h race with Ethanol E85. A new biodiesel- powered Volvo V40 D5 has been in service since the 2013 season . In 2016, Heico Sportiv won the 6h race at the Nürburgring in the "alternative fuels" class.

The "HEICO HS3 THOR" (Volvo C30 T5 Basis) followed in 2006 on behalf of Volvo Cars of North America, followed by the "HEICO HS8 High Performance Concept" (Volvo S80 T6 Basis) and the "HEICO HS3 T5" in 2007 on behalf of the Volvo Car Corporation “(Volvo C30 T5 Basis) with a striking, orange-colored interior. The vehicles were specially built for the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
