Until February 28, 1973, Heidberg was a municipality in the Salzwedel district in the Magdeburg district , German Democratic Republic .

history

On July 1, 1950, the communities Hohenlangenbeck and Leetze from the district of Salzwedel merged to form the new community Heidberg . On March 1, 1973, the municipality of Heidberg from the Salzwedel district was incorporated into the municipality of Siedenlangenbeck . The two Heidberg districts Hohenlangenbeck and Leetze came to Siedenlangenbeck.

In 1952, the first type III agricultural production cooperative was founded in the municipality , the LPG "Frischer Wind" in Leetze. In 1966, an inter-cooperative organization, the ZGE (poultry) "Progress" was founded, which in 1973 was connected to the LPG "Frischer Wind".
