The Heidelpay Group is a group of companies based in Heidelberg. It offers solutions for electronic payment transactions for online shops , retailers and online marketplaces worldwide.

The heidelpay Group comprises the eponymous Heidelberger Payment GmbH, or Heidelpay for short, as well as the UNIVERSUM Group, mPAY24, StarTec, Avanti, Alpha Cash, ec-Plus and POSeidon digital. The group of companies employs over 400 people.

At the core of the heidelpay Group is the payment service provider Heidelberger Payment GmbH, or Heidelpay for short. Heidelpay was founded in 2003 by Mirko Hüllemann. In 2010, heidelpay was the first German payment service provider to register for the Dutch payment system iDEAL . In 2011, Heidelpay was the first payment service provider in Germany to receive a license from the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). In 2014 the CSSF license was issued. Heidelpay's services include transaction processing and activities as an acquiring bank. In August 2019, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) joined as a strategic investor and took over the majority of the company for around 600 million euros.

According to the company, 28 million financial transactions were processed in 2016. For the 2019 financial year, the heidelpay Group expects over 125 million transactions with a combined value of over 7 billion euros.
