Heidenheimer Volksbank was founded in 1865 as a commercial bank. In 1953 the bank merged with Gerstetter Volksbank, 1991 with Raiffeisenbank Unteres Härtsfeld, 1992 with Raiffeisenbank Mergelstetten, 1998 with Herbrechtinger Bank, 2000 with Königsbronner Bank and 2009 with Raiffeisenbank Nattheim.
