The Heider Stadtverkehr was a 100% owned subsidiary of Autokraft GmbH in Schleswig-Holstein and thus belonged to the DB Group . It was acquired on January 1, 2005 through the purchase of the bus company H. u. H. Jungjohann Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH founded. Today it operates the city bus network of the city of Heide (Holstein) , which was merged from 4 to 2 routes in 2020. In August 2012 the company was merged with the parent company Autokraft GmbH .

history

In 1923 the company H. u. H. Jungjohann founded. Over the years it was the largest bus company in the Dithmarschen district . It emerged from a vehicle workshop and quickly became the largest private bus company in Schleswig-Holstein. In total, the company had around 280 buses in its fleet during its 82-year history. Later 45 of these buses were still used by autokraft.

On April 14, 1967, the first Heider city bus drove to the district hospital. In the autumn of 1968 a second bus was then used. This enabled several destinations in the area to be served in shorter cycle times.

Until 1982, the Jungjohann company operated city traffic at its own risk. In 1984 the city council passed a resolution that funds were made available as a subsidy for urban transport.

On August 1, 1990, regular hourly traffic to Süderholm was introduced, which led to an increase in the number of passengers. In 1992 lines to Wesseln and Ostrohe were introduced every hour. Two years later, the Lohe-Rickelshof community decided to say goodbye to the city bus.

In 2000, new Mercedes-Benz Citaro buses were introduced as part of a new city bus concept. On January 1, 2005, Heider Stadtverkehr GmbH also became a new partner of the Dithmarschenbus transport association .

In 2012 the company was merged with Autokraft.

In 2015 the lines 2910 (Wesseln), 2920 (Ostrohe), 2930 (Süderholm) and 2940 (Fehrsplatz) were operated. The lines were served every hour Monday to Friday from around 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays until around 1 p.m. Circular routes operate on the lines, the buses meet at the 20 and 50 minutes at the train station. Two buses are required for daytime operation. Operations are closed on Sundays.
