Heidi Hassenmüller
Heidi Hassenmüller (* 1941 in Hamburg ) is a German author of books for young people. In her books she deals with problems such as sexual violence, anorexia, and drugs.
biography
After completing secondary school, Heidi Hassenmüller did an apprenticeship as a shipping agent. She then studied fiction and journalism. After completing her studies, she began writing for newspapers and magazines at home and abroad. Even then, Hassenmüller published many books. Later she started working as a freelance writer. Heidi Hassenmüller is the mother of four children and has lived in the Netherlands since 1974 .
Hassenmüller has published more than 30 books and many short stories. Her best-known book is Gute Nacht, Zuckerpüppchen , a novel about a girl who is sexually molested and raped by her stepfather. The story appeared in 1988 as a multi-part series in Stern and achieved a great response. In 1989 she received the Buxtehuder Bulle youth book award .
