Heidi Blair Pratt , who used her maiden name Heidi Montag as her stage name , (born September 15, 1986 in Crested Butte , Colorado ) is an American reality TV actress and singer . She was best known for the MTV series The Hills .

Career as a television star

Mondays career began with some short appearances in the second season of MTV - Reality TV show Laguna Beach - The Real Orange County alongside Lauren Conrad . Through her friendship with Conrad, Montag got a leading role in the series The Hills . Both studied at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles , but Montag dropped out of their studies in the spring of 2005 to work at Bolthouse Productions . There she started as an intern and last worked as an event planner.

In 2011 she filmed the reality show Famous Food for VH1 with 6 other stars .

In 2013 she took part in Celebrity Big Brother in England with her husband Spencer . The two counted as a house member and took second place.

Career as a singer

On August 16, 2007, Ryan Seacrest played a song called Body Language on his radio show on the American radio station KIIS-FM . The singer was Monday, and her boyfriend Spencer Pratt played a rap on it. Contrary to some rumors, Heidi and Spencer Pratt made it clear that this would not be their first single.

On February 5, 2008, her song Higher (the Heidi Montag song) was released for sale exclusively on iTunes . In addition, the music video for the single of the same name, which was shot by Spencer Pratt, was available. Another release from their first album was the single Overdosin ' . On March 3, 2008, her stepbrother Eric O'Hara was killed in an accident at the age of 24 when he fell from a hotel roof. On April 24, 2009, she married her long-time friend Spencer Pratt in the Westminster Presbyterian Church in California. From July to September 2010 there was a break in the relationship.
