Heike Becker

Heike Sylvia Becker (born April 1, 1976 in Neunkirchen ) is a German politician ( SPD ). She has been a member of the Saarland state parliament since 2019 .

Life

After completing secondary school at the Maximilian Kolbe School in Neunkirchen- Wiebelskirchen , Becker completed an apprenticeship as an administrative clerk from 1992 to 1995. From 2010 to 2012 she trained as an administrative specialist and worked for the city administration of the district town of Neunkirchen until 2019, most recently as department head for central administrative matters and deputy head of the office. She has been a member of the ver.di union since 1995 and is committed to the AWO , the DRK , the DKMS and the Neunkirchen zoo association. She has also been a lecturer in local law at the Saarland Administration School (SVS) since August 2017.

Becker joined the SPD in August 2007 and has been a member of the board of the SPD city association Neunkirchen since 2016. Furthermore, she has been a member of the communal committee and the party reform commission of the SPD Saarland since 2018 .

On October 30, 2019, she replaced Sebastian Thul, a member of the Saarland state parliament, who had been appointed Secretary of State for the Environment . In parliament she is a member of the Committee on Submissions, Education, Culture and the Media, Science, Research and Technology and the Committee on Environment and Consumer Protection.
