Heikki Laine (born October 17, 1983 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish ice hockey player who was last under contract with the Espoo Blues in the SM-liiga until 2011 .

Career

Heikki Laine began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of HIFK Helsinki , for whose professional team he was active in the SM-liiga , the top Finnish league, from 2004 to 2007 . At the same time he played for HCK Salamat and Kiekko-Vantaa in the second-class Mestis . In the 2007/08 season , the winger ran exclusively for Salamat in the Mestis. For the 2008/09 season he moved to JYP Jyväskylä , with whom he was Finnish champion straight away . He contributed to this success with two goals and an assist in 17 games. At the same time he ran for his farm team D Team in the Mestis. During the 2009/10 season , the Finn stood at Étoile Noire de Strasbourg from the French Ligue Magnus on the ice. He then returned to his Finnish homeland and played at the same time for the Espoo Blues in the SM-liiga and as a loan player for Kiekko-Vantaa in the Mestis. Since then he has been without a contract.
