Evangelical Heilandskirche Mürzzuschlag

The Heilandskirche stands on a hill in the south of the town of Mürzzuschlag in the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district in Styria . The Evangelical Lutheran parish church belongs to the Evangelical Superintendentur AB Steiermark of the Evangelical Church AB in Austria . The church is a listed building ( list entry ).

history

The church was built to supply the Protestant community in Mürzzuschlag, which was newly established as part of the Los von Rom movement, and was made possible by a donation of 30,000 crowns in Germany initiated by the poet Peter Rosegger .

The church was built in 1900 according to the plans of the architect Carl Steinhofer with the master builder Josef Panzl in neo-Gothic forms.
