The Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district is a political district of the state of Styria . It was created on January 1st, 2013 by merging the districts of Bruck an der Mur and Mürzzuschlag and is the fourth largest district in Austria in terms of area .

The security and forestry units are based in Mürzzuschlag, the facilities, social affairs, health and veterinary units are located in Bruck an der Mur. There are citizen service points including the issuing of travel documents and driver's licenses in both cities.

Administrative division

As part of the municipal structural reform 2014/15 , the number of municipalities in the district was significantly reduced from 2015. Since January 1, 2015, the district covers 2,154.8 km² and consists of 19 municipalities, including five towns and ten market communities.
