The hospital in Crailsheim , a town in the Schwäbisch Hall district ( Baden-Württemberg ), was founded around 1400. The former Holy Spirit Hospital, which is just before the southern end of Langen Strasse, is a protected architectural monument .

history

The first hospital in Crailsheim was built in 1400 in the inner city area and then moved in front of the southern city wall on the slope from the old town area to the Trutenbach valley basin. The late Gothic hospital chapel was built in 1425 with Romanesque parts. In 1804 the hospital building was completely renovated.

Todays use

During renovation work in 1989, the premises of the former Spitalbad were rediscovered and incorporated into the city museum. Crailsheim faience and a unique collection of musical instruments as well as the city history departments are housed in the city museum.

Adult Education Center Crailsheim

The Crailsheim Adult Education Center was founded on April 27, 1947 on the initiative of the American military government. After the adult education center changed location several times in its history, it has been located in the historic area of ​​the Heilig-Geist-Spital since 1994.
