history

On the initiative of the Hildesheim Bishop Heinrich Maria and the collection activity in the diocese of Hildesheim was in 1971 on the grounds of good Röderhof for the disabled , the home of Röderhof be established. Home of the Röderhof

The home of Röderhof is a facility for people with intellectual disabilities the Foundation Catholic Behindertenhilfe in the diocese of Hildesheim . It was built from 1969 to 1970 next to the episcopal estate Röderhof and was opened on January 15, 1971 as a home for mentally handicapped children. On site, the facility now includes living areas for 200 handicapped people, the St. Franziskus School (special school with a focus on “spiritual development”), a day care center for adults and a riding hall for riding therapy as well as the Church of the Holy Spirit.
