The holy house

The listed Heiligenhäuschen Heribertstraße is located in Eschweiler above Feld , a district of the municipality of Nörvenich in the Düren district , North Rhine-Westphalia .

This holy house is located under trees opposite the entrance to Hermannshof on Landesstraße 263 at the exit towards Girbelsrath . Earlier owners of the Hermannshof were the Counts Wolff-Metternich . They had the house built in 1858. The Viscountess de Maistre, born Countess von Wolff-Metternich, who had inherited the estate from her brother Hermann-Josef, donated a valuable wooden statue of St. Hermann-Josef . This sculpture was destroyed with bayonets by French occupation troops after the First World War .

Today there is a not very valuable Madonna figure in the little holy house, which is maintained by the current owner of the Hermannshof.
