Home pages of the district of Diepholz

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Heimat papers of the district of Diepholz are a mouthpiece for the district of Diepholz in Lower Saxony , in which - in addition to current day events - historical, cultural and natural history facts and events from the district of Diepholz are presented.

Since the merger of the Diepholz district from the previously existing Grafschaft Diepholz and Grafschaft Hoya districts in 1977, they have been published by the Diepholz district.

Initially, the Heimatblätter appear as a monthly supplement to the district newspaper Syke , one of the two daily regional newspapers. At intervals of 1 - 2 years, the individual contributions are then combined into anthologies - also under the title “Heimatblätter des Landkreises Diepholz”. Then there are around 100 individual articles in an anthology.

The voluntary editorial support of the "Heimatblätter" has been in the hands of historian Stephan Kathe since the beginning of 2018 . Kathe has also been head of the district archive of the Diepholz district since the beginning of 2018 . Before - since 1984 - the Diepholz pedagogue, local researcher and author Wilfried Gerke was responsible for the homeland papers. He was also the author of numerous articles in the homeland papers.

Before Gerke, the Weyher pedagogue and local researcher Erich Rendigs was responsible for the editing of the “Heimatblätter des Landkreises Diepholz” (since 1977). Rendigs was already editor of the "Heimatblätter des Landkreises Grafschaft Hoya", which had been published since 1972 for the area of the County of Hoya.
