The Heimtextil in Frankfurt is an international trade fair for textiles with over 2,750 exhibitors and more than 68,000 trade visitors (January 2015). On four days of the fair in mid-January, it serves as a business and information platform for manufacturers, dealers and designers from all over the world.

International exhibitors present their products to a specialist audience on the grounds of Messe Frankfurt . New developments and current consumer trends in the industry are presented. With the presentation of bed, bath and table textiles as well as offers for windows, upholstery, floors, walls and sun protection, Heimtextil covers the entire portfolio for home and house textiles . The international trade fair for home and contract textiles has been held annually on the grounds of Messe Frankfurt since 1971.

The trade fair is flanked by numerous special presentations, specialist lectures, award ceremonies and industry events. The annual trend presentation is one of the main topics. Heimtextil trends are developed by a team of international design offices by working out the most important and internationally most influential trend topics from different trends at the beginning of the season. The results will be presented in a catalog and in a show during the fair.

Another focal point at Heimtextil is the contract sector. Under the title Contract Creations , Heimtextil is presenting the product range of international exhibitors from the contract business as well as a supporting program especially for architects, room planners, fitters and interior designers . Current topics from the contract sector are highlighted with lectures, special shows and competitions.

Worldwide textile events by Messe Frankfurt

In addition to Heimtextil in Frankfurt am Main, Messe Frankfurt organizes other trade fairs for home textiles in Europe, North America and Asia: Interior Lifestyle and Heimtextil Japan in Tokyo, Heimtextil Russia in Moscow, Home Textiles Sourcing in New York City, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles and Intertextile Guangzhou Home textile.

In addition, Messe Frankfurt organized more cover textile events that different sectors of the textile industry of home textiles on apparel fabrics and fashion to technical textiles and processing as well as the care of textiles. The locations include Berlin, Paris, Shanghai, Moscow, New York City, Tokyo and Hong Kong, where Messe Frankfurt's first foreign trade fair was held in 1987 with the Interstoff Asia Essential .
