Heiner Rickers (born October 7, 1966 in Kellinghusen ) is a Schleswig-Holstein politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament .

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1986, Heiner Rickers trained as a farmer. From 1988 to 1989 he did basic military service. He then studied agriculture for three years and graduated with an agricultural engineering degree. He has been working as an independent farmer since 1993.

Heiner Rickers is an Evangelical Lutheran, married and has two children.

Rickers has been involved in local politics since 1992. Since 2003 he has been the mayor of Oeschebüttel , as well as chairman of the auditing committee of the Kellinghusen office . From 2008 to 2010 he was a member of the district council of Steinburg and since August 2012 chairman of the CDU district association Steinburg.

MP

In the early state elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 2009 for the 17th electoral term, Heiner Rickers was directly elected to the state parliament in the Steinburg-Ost state constituency. He became a member of the European Committee, the Environment and Agriculture Committee, and a deputy member of the Education and Petitions Committee. In the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 2012 he was able to defend his mandate and was still a member of the education committee. November 2014 he became a deputy member. Rickers is currently the chairman of the agricultural and environmental group working group, which makes him the agricultural and environmental policy spokesman and member of the board of the CDU parliamentary group. In February 2016, Heiner Rickers was nominated for constituency 21 (Steinburg-Ost) with 98.3 percent as a direct candidate for the 2017 state elections.

In the 2017 state elections , Heiner Rickers again entered the state parliament for the 19th electoral term with 43.9 percent of the first vote as a directly elected member of the Steinburg-Ost constituency .

Social Commitment

He is also involved on a voluntary basis and has been a long-term member of professional associations and clubs, such as the volunteer fire brigade and the Red Cross. Rickers is also a member of the official committee and is the deputy chairman of the Kellinghusen School Association.
