Heiner Ruland (born April 6, 1934 in Aachen ; † March 25, 2017 in Hamborn ) was a German composer and music therapist .

Live and act

After completing his high school education, Heiner Ruland initially studied chemistry , then school music with a major in harpsichord with Fritz Neumeyer in Freiburg im Breisgau . 1963-1974 he worked as a music teacher at the Benefeld Waldorf School, Lüneburg Heath .

Based on the research of Kathleen Schlesinger and the suggestions of Rudolf Steiner, an intensive musical-anthroposophical research developed in addition to the teaching activity, laid down in "A way to expand the life of the sound, musical tonology on the monochord". In the course of this musical and anthropological research, extensive teaching and lecturing began. His work as a composer in an extended tone system became more and more important. From 1976 to 2001 he continued to work full-time in practical music therapy at the Öschelbronn Clinic, a hospital for internal diseases.
