Heinrich-Daniel Rühmkorf (born July 10, 1966 in Peine ) is a German political official . From 2009 to 2012 he was State Secretary in the Ministry for Environment, Health and Consumer Protection of the State of Brandenburg .

Life and work

After high school and community service (1985–1987), Rühmkorf studied medicine in Marburg, Berlin and Amsterdam until 1997 and was also awarded a Dr. med. PhD. In the following years he worked initially as an assistant doctor in Berlin and Sölden, as a project manager in Ludwigshafen and as a freelance medical journalist. Among his clients were the Association of Democratic Doctors and the German Medical Association .

From 2005 until his appointment as State Secretary in 2009, he worked as a consultant for health policy and care in the left-wing parliamentary group in the German Bundestag.

From November 6, 2009 to October 31, 2012, Rühmkorf was State Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Health and Consumer Protection of the State of Brandenburg, led by Anita Tack (Die Linke).
