Heinrich August Ludwig Rose

Heinrich August Ludwig Rose (born January 18, 1816 in Brunsen , † September 21, 1885 in Blankenburg (Harz) ) was a German Evangelical-Lutheran clergyman and most recently general superintendent and pastor at St. Bartholomew's in Blankenburg.

Life

Rose was a son of the farmer Heinich Christian Rose. He studied theology at the Universities of Göttingen and Jena . After his exams he became a parish collaborator in Hasselfelde in 1848 and an adjunct at the Luther Church in Bad Harzburg in 1852 . From 1867 he was the first pastor at the main church Beatae Mariae Virginis in Wolfenbüttel . He was also provost of the women's monastery " Zur Ehre Gottes " in Wolfenbüttel.

In 1873 he was appointed pastor at St. Bartholomaei in Blankenburg, which at that time belonged to the Duchy of Braunschweig, and was appointed general superintendent of the General Inspection Blankenburg with supervision of the church and school districts (inspections) Blankenburg, Hasselfelde and Walkenried . Here he worked until the end of his life.
