Heinrich Bodensieck

Heinrich Bodensieck (born April 2, 1930 in Neumünster ; † January 16, 2019 ) was a German historian .

Bodensieck completed his studies at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel , received his doctorate in 1956 and then worked for several years in school service and as a lecturer at the University of Education in Kiel . In 1964 he was appointed professor for the history of modern times and modern times at the Pädagogische Hochschule Ruhr . In 1980 he came to the latter with the merger of the Ruhr University of Education and the University of Dortmund . In 1995 he retired.

Bodensieck's research focused on the history of the 20th century.
