Heinrich Bruns (actor)
Heinrich Bruns , pseudonym Heinrich Lebrun (born August 17, 1867 in Halberstadt , † March 1914 in Munich ) was a German theater actor , opera singer ( tenor ) and cabaret artist .
Life
Bruns, the son of a factory owner, worked in his parents' factory after studying at university until he began to take up musical and vocal studies. After completing his training with Maestro Cesare Gallieri in Milan, he decided to devote himself to the stage. He started his first engagement in Weimar , from there he came to the court theater in Dresden , where his tenor voice was praised and appreciated. After several years of activity, however, he left Dresden and went to Hamburg , where his voice was recognized both on stage and in the concert hall.
He later switched to cabaret and performed under the name Lebrun in Vienna and Munich.
