Heinrich Buchow
Heinrich Buchow († 1628 in Stralsund ) was a German politician and mayor of Stralsund.
He came from an old patrician family ennobled in 1568 . From 1596 until his death in 1628 he was mayor of the Hanseatic city of Stralsund.
One of his merits is the conclusion of the mayor's contract of 1616, with which a long dispute between the city of Stralsund, represented primarily by the then Syndicus and later mayor Lambert Steinwich and the mayors Henning Parow , Thomas Brandenburg and Heinrich Hagemeister as well as Heinrich Buchow and the Pomeranian Duke Philipp Julius was settled. With this treaty, the city regained extensive sovereignty.
