Heinrich Creuzburg
Heinrich Creuzburg (born March 4, 1907 in Leipzig , † 1991 ) was a German conductor and composer .
Creuzburg studied composition, conducting and viola at the State Conservatory in Leipzig . From 1928 to 1932 he worked as a répétiteur at the Opera House in Leipzig . In 1932 he was appointed Kapellmeister at the Stadttheater in Halle. In 1933 he moved to the opera in Essen . From 1942 to 1944 he was musical director at the Deutsches Theater in Oslo . In 1945 he became a lecturer at the Liszt School of Music Weimar . In 1950 he headed the opera school at the Detmold University of Music . His exercise book for score playing was for many years a leading standard work in the training of band masters and church musicians.
