Heinrich Delius (judge)

Heinrich Theodor Hermann Delius (born April 7, 1877 in Hamburg , † June 17, 1947 in Leipzig ) was a German judge .

Life

Delius was the youngest of seven children of his parents, businessman Albrecht Daniel Delius (1823–1908) and Elisabeth Therese Maria Anna Henriette nee. Delius (1839–1922) from Hamburg. He was awarded a Dr. jur. doctorate and sworn in as a judge in the same year. In 1904 he married Irmgard Emma Luise Gaul (1885–1969), with whom he had two children. In 1905 he became a district judge. During the First World War he was Rittmeister of the Landwehr cavalry and was awarded the Iron Cross II and I class. In 1919 he was appointed higher regional judge. On June 22, 1928 he came to the Reichsgericht, was in the I. and VI. Civil Senate and retired in 1944 due to old age. He was not a member of the NSDAP party, but a member of the National Socialist Legal Guardian Association .
