Heinrich Falckenberg

Heinrich Friedrich Ludwig Falckenberg (* 1771 in Stendal , Altmark , then part of the Mark Brandenburg ; † September 25, 1845 in Berlin ) was an administrative officer in Berlin. In recognition of his achievements, he was made an honorary citizen of Berlin .

Life

At the age of 18, Falckenberg began to work as a copyist at the Altmärkisch-Priegnitz Chamber in Stendal , before starting in 1793 as a cashier and later cashier at the War and Domain Chamber in Posen . In 1809 he was employed by the Berlin City Debt Fund as an accountant. In 1815 he was granted honorary citizenship of Berlin in gratitude for his exceptional achievements. In 1840 he retired and was therefore awarded the title of city ​​elder .
