Heinrich Grave

Heinrich Gravé (born October 26, 1832 in Graz , † November 3, 1901 in Vienna ) was an Austrian civil engineer, architect and fossil collector .

Grave initially worked as a kk construction trainee in the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Public Building before he was able to continue his career there as a technical construction officer and architect.

In his spare time he collected fossils and wrote on extinct animal species. He also dealt with regional history and belonged to the Historical Association for Styria , which he left in 1863.

From 1857 until his death, Grave was a correspondent for the Imperial Geological Institute .
