Heinrich Grimm (theologian)

Heinrich Grimm (born August 20, 1896 in Groß Thurow , † February 10, 1963 in Osnabrück ) was a German Lutheran theologian and local politician.

Life

Grimm studied Protestant theology at the Universities of Göttingen and Tübingen and passed the first theological examination in 1920. From 1921 to 1923 he attended the Erichsburg seminary . In 1923 he completed his studies in Göttingen as Lic. Theol. from. After ordination (1924) he was pastor in Meine from 1925 to 1929 , and from 1930 to 1935 pastor at the regional association for internal mission . In particular, he was in charge of church public relations and ideology. He was also the managing director of the state parents' association. In 1935 Grimm became superintendent of the church district Springe , in 1948 city superintendent in Osnabrück. He died there on February 10, 1963.

In addition to his official activities, Grimm was chairman of the Scientific Preachers' Association from 1925 to 1949 and - as the successor to Paul Wachsmuth - chairman of the main group of the Gustav Adolf Association from 1935 to 1953 .

From 1948 to 1963 Heinrich Grimm belonged to the regional synod of the Evangelical Lutheran regional church of Hanover and was chairman of the finance committee and head of the synodal office there from 1946 to 1962.

Political offices

For the DHP / BHE , Grimm was a member of the district council and city council of Springe from 1946 to 1948.
