Heinrich Hardt

Heinrich Hardt (born September 16, 1822 in Lennep , † June 26, 1889 in Berlin ) was a German entrepreneur and politician .

Life

His parents were Johann Engelbert (1783–1850) and Luise Hardt, nee Hasenclever (1787–1867). On July 1, 1847, he and his brother Richard von Hardt founded Hardt & Co in New York City to trade in cloth goods. In 1854 they founded the Hardt & Co. company in Berlin.

Heinrich Hardt was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives from 1867 . He was married to Ottilie von Bernuth (1827–1910). In 1870 he was a co-founder of Deutsche Bank in Berlin.
