Heinrich Heine (local history researcher)

Heinrich Heine (born August 28, 1860 in Weste ; † March 12, 1931 in Nordhausen ) was a German teacher and local researcher.

Life

Heinrich Heine was born in the village of Weste near Uelzen and attended elementary school, later a private school in Hermannsburg . Then he attended the teachers' seminar in Lüneburg . After the first teacher examination in 1878, he worked in Wünne and then in the Alfeld district (Leine) . He passed his secondary school teacher examination in Hanover in 1888.

In 1888 he went to the boys' middle school in Nordhausen am Harz and taught French, English, local history and music until his retirement on July 1, 1925. Heine published on the history of Nordhausen and was a member of the Nordhausen History and Antiquity Association. He was appointed to the museum deputation founded in 1907.

Heinrich Heine was married and died in Nordhausen.
