Lorenz Werder
Lorenz Werder (also Laurenz Werder ) (born October 31, 1646 in St. Gallen ; † March 23, 1720 ibid) was a mayor of St. Gallen ( Switzerland ).
Life
Lorenz Werder was the son of Johannes Werder and his wife Elisabeth Steiger.
From 1689 to 1697 he was Vogt in Bürglen . He belonged to the weavers' guild and was their guild master from 1697 to 1700 as well as sub-mayor in St. Gallen. From 1700 to 1720 he was, alternating with Heinrich Hiller (elected 1687), Ulrich Weyermann (elected 1695), Georg Wartmann (elected 1702) and Christoph Hochreutiner (elected 1717), mayor, former mayor and imperial bailiff of the city of St. Gallen every three years ; During this time he was from 1702 to 1717 Pannerherr and from 1717 to 1720 Panner captain .
Lorenz Werder was married to Anna, daughter of Daniel Zollikofer, from 1668, to Catherina, daughter of Christoph Kromer from 1677 and from 1704 to Ursula, daughter of Abraham Sauter.
