Heinrich Hildebrand (engineer, Munich)
Heinrich Hildebrand (born October 17, 1855 in Munich , † August 30, 1928 in Berlin-Schöneberg ) was a German engineer, journalist and entrepreneur. He became known as a cycling and motorcycle pioneer .
Life
Hildebrand studied mechanical engineering in Munich. He was a co-founder of the German-Austrian Velociped Association, a forerunner of the Association of German Cyclists .
Hildebrand & Wolfmüller , which was founded together with his brother Wilhelm, produced the world's first mass-produced motorcycle in 1894.
