Henry IX. (Plauen)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Henry IX. (* around 1373 ; † around 1413 ) was Lord of Plauen and Königswart .

Life

Heinrich came from the Reuss family of bailiffs and lords von Plauen . In 1387 King Wenzel enfeoffed him with the rule of Plauen in the Vogtland after he was of legal age. In that year he also bought the Königswart dominion with Borschengrün Castle in Bohemia from Landgraves Johann and Albrecht von Leuchtenberg , but apparently lent it to his father-in-law Boresch von Riesenburg , who had previously owned Borschengrün.

In 1393 he left the town of Pausa to Margrave Wilhelm von Meißen on loan, and in 1402 again, as well as Auerbach and Gefell . During this time the rule of Königswart fell back to him. The year of his death is unknown.
