Heinrich Jodokus Wolff

Heinrich Jodokus Wolff (born August 17, 1648 in Klotten ; † December 7, 1714 in Brauweiler (Pulheim) ) was a German Benedictine and prior in the Brauweiler Abbey .

Life

Heinrich Jodokus Wolff was the son of Klottener Vogts and Pomeranian court clerk Gerlach Wolff (1625–1685). He began his school education on November 1, 1660 and in 1669 he was a school teacher in Klotten. In 1671 he entered the Benedictine monastery of Brauweiler Abbey as a Benedictine monastery and made his profession there on June 12, 1672 . On September 19, 1676 he was ordained a priest and on June 7, 1681 he was appointed custodian. In 1690 he was appointed superior of the order and from 1695 he worked as a confessor in the Neuwerk monastery . In 1702, Wolff was sent back to his home town to be able to edit the Klotten income register. In 1708 he was appointed subprior and in 1710 prior of the Benedictine abbey of Brauweiler, whereby it was not neglected to point out that he had proven himself in his offices.
