Stepan Sus ( Ukrainian Степан Сус ; born October 7, 1981 in Lviv , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian clergyman and curia bishop in the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Grand Archbishopric of Kiev-Halytsch .

Life

Stepan Sus studied at the Theological Seminary of the Holy Spirit in Lviv. Then he was appointed in 2005 deacon ordained and received on 30 June 2006, the sacrament of Holy Orders . He served as a chaplain at the Academy of Land Forces and other educational institutions in Lviv and between 2008 and 2012 was responsible for the pastoral care of soldiers in the Lviv Archeparchy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.

The Synod of Bishops of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church elected him as Curia Bishop in the Grand Archbishopric of Kiev-Halych. On 15 November 2019 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Zygris . He was ordained bishop on January 12, 2020 by Svyatoslaw Shevchuk , Grand Archbishop of Kiev-Halych. Co- consecrators were Ihor Wosnjak , Archbishop of Lemberg, and Paul Patrick Chomnycky , Bishop of Stamford .

In 2015 Stepan Sus received the Order of Ukraine “For Merit” (third class).
