Heinrich Josef Vincent
Heinrich Josef Vincent (born February 23, 1819 in Theilheim near Würzburg , † May 19, 1901 in Vienna ) was an Austrian choir director and music theorist.
Vincent first studied law, but later devoted himself entirely to music. From 1872 he was a singing teacher and choir director of the choir in Chernivtsi . From 1878 he lived in Vienna .
He campaigned for a reform of music theory and notation .

In Die Neuklaviatur he introduces his modified piano keyboard, as can be found on 6-plus-6 instruments .
He also wrote operas and operettas, of which the operetta Die Bettlerin was performed in Halle in 1866 and in Würzburg in 1870.
