Heinrich Kistner

Heinrich Kistner (born February 13, 1919 in Lehe , † March 3, 1999 in Bremerhaven ; full name: Heinrich Friedrich Kistner ) was a German building contractor and politician . He was a member of the Bremen Citizenship ( DP ).

biography

Family, education and work

Kistner was the grandson of the master bricklayer Heinrich Friedrich Kistner and the son of the builder Heinrich Kistner (1863-1937). The company HF Kistner ( Baukistner ), founded by Heinrich Friedrich Kistner (1826–1907) in Lehe in 1853 , became the largest construction company in Bremerhaven at the time, with its headquarters on Hafenstrasse since 1870 . The company's founder also had sons Carl (1855–1918), Johann (1860–1925, founder of a carpentry business) and Theodor (1865–1944). The company had had a sand-lime brick factory since 1880 .

Kistner learned the craft of a bricklayer and studied civil engineering . As early as 1937 he had to take over the management of the company during his studies due to the death of his father Heinrich Kistner. During the war years, the company employed around 2,000 people.

Kistner came during World War II in Soviet captivity .

After 1946/47 he successfully rebuilt the company and in the 1950s he tried to establish a corporate social order with profit-sharing. He did not have to witness the decline of his company from the 2000s. The waterfront living project is to be implemented on the Kistner site between Hafenstrasse and Geeste .

He was married and had two sons. He was buried in the Bremerhaven-Lehe II cemetery.

The Kistnerstraße in Bremerhaven-Lehe was named after the company founder, who here many houses built.

Kistner was a member of the DP. For this party he was from 1947 to 1959 in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th electoral periods for twelve years a member of the Bremen citizenship and in the citizenship in various deputations .
