Heinrich Klerx

Heinrich Klerx (born September 19, 1890 in Mönchengladbach ; † February 21, 1951 in Bergisch Gladbach ) was a German politician and former member of the state parliament ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending school, he completed an apprenticeship as a shoemaker and passed the master's examination in 1917 . From 1919 to 1933 he was district leader or Gauleiter of the Reich Association of War Disabled. He then worked as an insurance employee until 1945 and, after the Second World War, in health and unemployment insurance until 1947, and then until his death as a state councilor at the Rhineland state insurance company . Heinrich-Klerx-Strasse was named after him in Bergisch Gladbach.

In 1918 Klerx became a member of the SPD. From 1946 he was state chairman of the association of physically injured people, social pensioners and survivors .

From April 20, 1947 to July 21, 1947, Klerx was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected from his party's national list.
