from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Heinrich LXIX. Reuss zu Köstritz (born May 19, 1792 in Köstritz ; † February 1, 1878 ibid) was a German nobleman .

Life

Heinrich LXIX. came from the non-ruling branch line Reuss-Köstritz from the younger line of the old, widely ramified German noble family of the Reuss . His parents were Prince Heinrich XLVIII. Reuss zu Köstritz (1759–1825) and Christine Henriette Antonie, née Countess von Schönburg-Wechselburg-Fordglauchau (1766–1833). He married on November 5, 1834 in Florence Lady Mathilde Harriet Elisabeth nee Locke (born September 12, 1804 in England, † December 29, 1877 in Köstritz), the daughter of a British lieutenant general John Locke and descendant of the philosopher John Locke .

Heinrich LXIX. was first Count of Plauen and Köstritz and became Prince Reuss-Köstritz on November 12, 1853. Since September 16, 1856 he was heir to his cousin Heinrich LXIV. Owner of the Paragium Reuss-Köstritz. Associated with this was a virile vote in the Reuss younger line of parliament : from November 27, 1871 to February 1, 1878, he was a member of the parliament.

He died without a male heir. With his death on Henry IV, the Paragium fell from the middle branch of the branch line.
