Heinrich Otto Schüle

Heinrich Otto Schüle (born March 26, 1963 in Leonberg ) is a German agricultural economist and professor at the Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Economics and Environment (HfWU), honorary professor in Russia and Uzbekistan and honorary doctorate in Tbilisi and Moscow .

Live and act

After primary school in Rutesheim- Perouse, attended school at the Johannes Kepler grammar school in Leonberg with high school diploma in 1982. This was followed by specialist agricultural training and community service at the youth center Leonberg eV.

Starting in 1986, he studied general agricultural sciences at the University of Hohenheim, specializing in economics and social sciences in agriculture (agricultural economics). The topic of the thesis for the graduate agricultural engineer 1992: Structure, economic efficiency and development possibilities of agriculture in Poland

This was followed by a scientific activity with Jürgen Zeddies and the doctorate to Dr. sc agr with the dissertation: Organizational and management structures of large agricultural enterprises 1997. After transferring to the Eastern European Center of the university, head of the department of agricultural and food economics in the transition countries

  • Cross-faculty acquisition and coordination of interdisciplinary research, university cooperation and further education projects
  • Cooperation with state institutions, scientific institutions and private companies in the Central, Eastern and Southeastern European transition countries
  • Foreign assignment in Ukraine as managing director of the Deuten Agricultural Center (2009–2013).

He was appointed professor for agricultural management at the Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Economics and Environment in 2013. He is dean of studies for agricultural economics and was also in charge of the agricultural teaching and experimental farms (2016–2019).
