Heinrich Prößl

Heinrich Prößl (* 14. July 1929 in Eagle Mountain , † 13. June 2010 in Regensburg ) was a German farmer , Brauer and municipal and county council in Pettendorf.

Life

Heinrich Prößl was the son of the estate and brewery owners Heinrich Prößl and Franziska Prößl née Hoferer. His grandfather was Johann Baptist Hoferer (1860–1936), his great-grandfather was Michael Hoferer (1820–1894). The Prößl family has been running the Prößl-Bräu and the associated agriculture on the Adlersberg since 1838 . After attending school, he became a brewing engineer and in 1952 took over the Prößl-Bräu with his widowed mother. In 1995 Heinrich Prößl handed over the management of the well-known brewery to his son of the same name. Prößl was also involved as a local politician, was for several decades in the Pettendorf local council and also a district councilor. In 1963 Heinrich Prößl was chairman of the water supply association for the Naab-Donau-Regen group for 35 years . In 2004 he was appointed honorary chairman of the association.

Heinrich Prößl died of kidney failure in Regensburg on June 13, 2010. He was buried in the cemetery in Pettendorf.

Awards

  • On the occasion of his 80th birthday in 2009 he became an honorary citizen of the municipality of Pettendorf
